Listen to The Beatles outtakes a.k.a watch other people make stuff

What better way to shortcut the years of experimentation, trying to find your workflow when you can steal it from someone you admire? I recently watched 3, 2, 1 McCartney, where Paul and Rick Rubin go through old Beatles tapes and listen to stems of some of my favourite songs ever. What more could I ask for?

If you watch your favourite artists make stuff, it’s hard to not learn something new and insightful. It lifts the weight off from your shoulders to figure it all out on your own. Why would you torture yourself like that? Steal their process, and if you steal from enough people you’ll inevitably find your own.
